CAMIC BOARD INTRODUCTIONS:
CAMIC wants you to get to know the Board on a more personal level so that you can gain an understanding of those who are leading the association. This month, CAMIC would like to introduce Luc Grégoire.

Luc joined the Board of Directors in October 2020, as a representative from Quebec. He is General Manager of Promutuel Assurance Deux-Montagnes.

After obtaining his Bachelor of Science degree from the Université de Montréal, Luc quickly became interested in the field of insurance by joining the ranks of the family insurance brokerage business with his father. For nearly 25 years, he worked in various brokerage firms of all kinds. He was among the founding directors of the brokerage firm Hub International inc. in 1998. During all these years in the brokerage world, Luc has been actively involved in several brokerage organizations in Québec and Canada, always with the objective of highlighting professions related to the world of insurance. Luc joined Promutuel Assurance Deux-Montagnes in 2014. This new stage in his professional development allowed him to assume the leadership of a regional company, while being a member of the management team of Groupe Promutuel.

Always very active, Luc is a member of the Promutuel team of the Grand Défi Pierre Lavoie where he participates annually in the 1000 km bike challenge with his colleagues to raise funds for elementary schools in Québec! Luc lives in Laval with his wife Francine and his two sons, Nicolas, and Gabriel, who live in Montreal. Francine and Luc spend their free time in Mont Tremblant where they bike, golf, hike and downhill ski, their favorite sport!

Shore Consulting Group:
A webinar exclusively for CAMIC members on Digital Ambition for Mutual Insurance Companies will be held on October 28, 2021 at 11h EST, presented by Shawn Shell, Executive Technology Advisor and Larry Rudolf, Vice President, Digital Development. Digital transformation is an ambition for many Mutuals, promising efficiency, integrated and compelling “customer” experiences, low-cost service delivery with innovative offerings and the irresistible ability to use data as a strategic asset. Getting data from agents, policy holders, and members is critical. Most of that data comes in using forms – often still “old school” PDFs and paper, with more than a little handwriting. As a result, the effort required to extract this valuable data, unnecessarily increases costs. Ways to dramatically reduce overhead and the administrative burden, when capturing critical business data will be explored, as well as ways to measure both success and identify additional innovation to improve business.
